The fact that the blue color is associated with dependability is a reason why most larger corporations and banks incorporate the color in their brand. Blue is one of those colors that you can use without thinking twice on your website.

However, you don’t want to use the color on your whole website. Mix in other colors with it because the blue can make your brand seem cold when used too much.


When you think of white, you think clean, safe, and virtue. It is a color that is associated with peace and numerous religious symbols use it. Like blue, white is a color you can use without thinking twice on your website. It generally is used for the background on most websites as it allows the text to pop and makes it easier for visitors to read. There are no such negative connotations with the color, but you want to mix in other colors and design elements with it otherwise your website would be too bland.


Black is a color associated with elegance and sophistication. It can also appear to be dark and mysterious. The color is best suited for luxury brands and sites. You usually see fashion brands use the color on their website. But too much black may not be ideal since the color is associated with evil also.
